Travel documents

Before you leave, make sure you have all the necessary travel documents and that they are valid :

• Plane tickets or reservation form,
• Visa (depending on the destination),
• Passport (digital for USA) and/or national identity card,
• Vaccination certificates,
• Permission to leave the country for minors

You only need a national identity card to visit member countries of the European Union and the following states:

• Switzerland,
• Iceland,
• Malta,
• Romania,
• Bulgaria.

Outside these countries, you will be asked to show your passport.
Children aged 15 and over must hold their own passport. Children travelling alone are subject to special attention.
