Notre Dame de l'Assomption is a monumental Baroque cathedral with a beautiful ocher-colored facade which was classified a historic monument at the beginning of the 20th century. You will discover at the entrance a painting of 1821 by Eugène Delacroix, "the Triumph of Religion".

The only way to get there is by boat.

Going North from Ajaccio are 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Piana creeks, and the Scandola nature reserve. While the creeks offer a magnificent show of rock masses, peaks, mineral sculptures, needles and red granite cliffs, the reserve, wild peninsula of volcanic origin shelters amazing flora and fauna. The only way to get there is by boat or on foot.
