Pont de l’Iroise bridge
The Pont de l’Iroise bridge crosses the river Elorn and links Brest to Quimper. Amazing feat of architecture, this magnificent cable-stayed bridge opened in 1994 has the third largest main span in France, behind the Normandy bridge and the Saint-Nazaire bridge, and before the Millau viaduct.

Bastia

The Old Port
Nested in a narrow cove, it is a great place to start a visit, with a stroll around the harbour to see the colorful buildings, almost reminiscent of those in Venice, clustered around the fishing and pleasure port. Many bar-cafes and restaurants are located on its quays whose streets are pedestrian access only in summer.
The Citadel of Bastia
The walk to the citadel passes through the gardens (le Jardin Romieu), and the once-very-posh houses of the Terra Nova district. Unmissable, the grand 14th century Governor's Palace hosting the Ethnographic Museum, and the church of Sainte-Marie de l'Assomption and the Baroque Oratoire-Sainte-Croix with its "black Christ".
Cap Corse
To the north of Bastia is Cap Corse, an interesting peninsula to explore with small fishing villages attractively set against a backdrop of mountains in picturesque settings. Several splendid points of view are available to you, as well as some magnificent beaches you will discover during your visit.
Saint Nicolas place
Located opposite the commercial port, it is the heart of the city. One of the largest in France, measuring 300 by 90 meters, and surrounded with century-old palm trees. There are many cafes and shops to stroll around, and the city's flea market.

Ajaccio cathedral
You cannot stay in Ajaccio and not visit the cathedral. Notre Dame de l'Assomption is a monumental Baroque cathedral with a beautiful ocher-colored facade which was classified a historic monument at the beginning of the 20th century. You will discover at the entrance a painting of 1821 by Eugène Delacroix, "the Triumph of Religion".
The Sanguinaires islands
This archipelago of 4 islands owes its red ocher color and its name to the red granite of its rocks. In the extension of the point of Parata from where we can observe it, at the entrance of the Gulf of Ajaccio, the sunset on the steep cliffs of the Sanguinaires islands is simply magical! The only way to get there is by boat.
Piana creeks
Going North from Ajaccio are 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Piana creeks, and the Scandola nature reserve. While the creeks offer a magnificent show of rock masses, peaks, mineral sculptures, needles and red granite cliffs, the reserve, wild peninsula of volcanic origin shelters amazing flora and fauna. The only way to get there is by boat or on foot.
Bonifacio's cliffs
At the southern tip of the island, Bonifacio is also famous for its steep white limestone cliffs and sea caves. Perched on its white cliff, the old town protected by its citadel proudly overlooks the sea and the marina. Opposite, the archipelagos of the Lavezzi and Cerbicales islands are famous for their exceptional seabed and the clarity of their water.
