The Martyrs' Monument

Erected on the heights of Algiers, this imposing monument pays tribute to the martyrs of the Algerian War of Independence. Designed by the architect Fernand Pouillon, the monument consists of a large tower topped by a sculpture in the shape of a flame. From up there, you can also enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the Bay of Algiers.
